While the wait was sometimes long in his exam room, I never minded because I enjoyed looking through his many baby books with pictures of the babies he delivered and more as they grew over the years. I will miss our time together, but still cherish the lifelong friendship with Anita, whose love was the best thing ever to happen in Bob Jacoby's life. I could tell so many stories about him and how caring and compassionate he was, but he always used to tell me that he will always remember the day that I was born. im sorry for loss. As a new young nurse many years ago, I appreciated Dr. Jacobys respect for nurses and their input in patient care. He treated me with respect and as an equal (a trait I am sure was not true so early in my life). Bob improved our city, and gave all to his patients and his outreach to the elderly and his church. He was always smiling and happy to help his patients with whatever he had in his "black bag". He had other passions including his family and playing the organ, and he worked as hard on his outside activities as he did in his practice. Both my mother and I's condition was critical and he acted quickly and ended up assisting in my mom's emergency C-section and my delivery.
