Winter Storm Watch Issued

Another winter storm system will move into the region late Sunday, bringing light snow or rain showers from late Sunday night into midday Monday, and accumulating snow from Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

The most intense snowfall rates will occur from late Monday evening through Tuesday morning, then will taper off on later in the day Tuesday. Widespread snowfall accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are expected across much of the area, with locally higher amounts likely. Clinton County currently falls within the 6 to 10 inch prediction.

There is still some uncertainty with the location of the higher amounts, so this forecast be modified between now and the onset of the storm.
