Mission

The Clinton County Emergency Management Agency’s mission is to protect the lives and property of the Citizens of Clinton County from disasters, both natural, and man-made.

The Agency operates under the authority of the Clinton County Commission. The formation and duties of local emergency management agencies are detailed in RSMo Chapter 44.

The Emergency Management Agency is responsible the planning, preparation, mitigation, and response to disasters within the county. The Agency is responsible for the development of the Local All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan. This document lays the groundwork of how the County, and the Agencies within it will prepare for and respond to a disaster. The Agency is also tasked with the development of mutual aid agreements with agencies, services, and companies both inside and outside of the county, and the development of infrastructure and resources to be used in the event of a disaster.
