LifeNet 2-2, stationed in St. Joseph, Missouri was lost in Clay County on 8/26/2011. Three crew and one patient lost their lives in the crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends, families, and colleagues of flight nurse Randy Bever, flight paramedic Chris Frakes, and pilot James Freudenberg. These men toiled tirelessly in a thankless job, saving hundreds of lives, and ultimately paid the ultimate sacrifice. There is no greater gift than one man giving his life for his fellow man. We are indebted for their sacrifice.
